ASHLEE HARDY - BOARD CHAIRMAN

Ashlee graduated from Baylor University with a Bachelor in Liberal Arts from Baylor University and a minor in Business.  Ashlee has helped start two nonprofit organizations in the last six years and had experience working in marketing and sales before becoming a full-time mom.

TYLER HARDY - VICE PRESIDENT

Tyler graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in Construction Science. In 2009, Tyler moved on from a construction career into full-time ministry.  He now serves as the Senior Pastor at Antioch Community Church.

RAY EVANS - SECRETARY

Ray graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in Computer Science. In 2006, Ray had the opportunity to join Tyler Technologies (Brazos Division) as the Senior Software Engineer. In his time there, the company grew from a small business with two full-time employees to an industry leader servicing nationwide. He is currently working with The Flippen Group as Director of Strategic Initiatives.

LAURI EVANS - TREASURER

Lauri graduated with a Master's of Science in Accounting from Texas A&M University. She has designed and implemented accounting practices for two startup nonprofit organizations in addition to acquiring several years of work experience with a public accounting firm and a private estate planning law firm. 

JAY & SARAH GRIFFIN - MEMBERS

Jay and Sarah have been married since 2005 and have three children, Hope, Seth and Noelle. They both graduated from Texas A&M University with doctorates of veterinary medicine. Jay is an Associate Professor of Veterinary Radiology at Texas A&M. Sarah worked for several years in the emergency and primary care services at the Texas A&M Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital before setting her career aside to focus on being a full-time mom.

They have been part of the Oakwell Family since 2016. Their family verse is Micah 6:8 – “He has shown you, O man, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly, love mercy and walk humbly with your God.”

GREG & JENNY BURTIN - MEMBERS

Greg graduated from Texas A&M University in Exercise Physiology and then completed his Master of Physical Therapy degree from University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas in 2000. Greg has been a practicing physical therapist for over 20 years and began his own private practice in 2007.

Jenny graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in Sociology and then completed her Master of Arts degree in Marriage & Family Counseling from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2005. She went on to start a counseling practice at Central Baptist Church until she began her family in 2012.

Greg & Jenny were married in 2009 and have three children with the two oldest currently attending Oakwell Academy. They are passionate about the future of this school and humbled to be able to serve and follow the Lord’s leading for the future.

ALEX DONALDSON - MEMBER

Miss Donaldson has been teaching at Oakwell since 2016 and has many years of experience working with young children. She graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English with a minor in Dance and is currently pursuing her EC-6th Generalist certification. She is passionate about helping children develop into the men and women God created them to be.
